Meet The South Fork Sea Farmers
Beyond the swanky restaurants and the thick privet hedges of The Hamptons, lies a more down-to-earth community that we’ve gotten to know well over the past decade. Often overlooked by movies stars that frequent the area, these fishermen and small business owners are the lifeblood of Long Island’s East End.
Meet the South Fork Sea Farmers, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, based in East Hampton, NY, whose mission is educating and empowering the community to keep their local waterways clean through sustainable marine aquaculture.
In collaboration with the East Hampton Shellfish Hatchery, the organization has grown to operate farms in Three Mile Harbor, Napeague, Acabonac, and Hog Creek in the past four years seeding over 2 million oysters per season.
We’re proud to partner with such an action-oriented organization. We’ll be donating 10% of proceeds to the South Fork Sea Farmers for the remainder of 2020 and look forward to getting out on the water with them in 2021!
